Collectible Coins and Their Abilities
The demo has ten collectible coins. Follow the acquisition checklist; the newer routes are player reports. Fill the chest completely and hold a coin over a candle for the tongs coin.
Scattered through the demo are collectible coins — special coins that never count as money. Deposit one and the game tells you outright: it's a collectible coin, each new collectible coin grants a new ability. They're the demo's hidden progression layer, and the community is already hunting them (there's a completionist thread dedicated to "getting all special coins").
The rules
- They don't pay for orders. A collectible in your hand is not a coin — the order counter ignores it.
- Read the collection reward. Pick up the special coin and add it to the collection; check its ability or event-token message before testing an effect.
- Specific interactions unlock them. Orders, guard dialogue, cleaning, target practice and re-stamping a special coin are among the routes below.
Abilities confirmed in the demo
| Collectible | Ability | How players are getting it |
|---|---|---|
| First collection coin | Unlocks the ability to discover more collectible coins | Appears during the early recorded order sequence; add it to the collection rather than counting it toward the order |
| The guard's old coin | Quick delivery — press F while looking at the delivery door to hand in without the full guard conversation | Earn it through the guard's story conversation (the one about the coin his father gave him) |
| The octopus coin | Carry capacity up: 10 → 15 | Collect it and the change applies immediately — count out 15 next trip |
| Piggy bank coins | Duplication chance — while depositing, each coin has a chance to duplicate when the piggy is broken | Buy the piggy bank, feed it coins, then smash it |
The piggy bank play
Breaking a piggy bank yields the special duplication coin in the recorded demo. Once that ability has been added to the collection, later piggy-bank coins can roll duplication. The footage does not establish a drop rate or an unlimited collectible farm:
- Deposit coins into it (deposited coins sit outside your spendable balance).
- Let it accumulate — the duplication ability describes a chance per coin when the piggy is broken.
- Smash it when you're ready: each coin has a chance to duplicate, turning a fat stack into a fatter one.
It costs coins to buy and patience to feed, so treat it as the demo's one "investment" purchase.
The count now stands at 10
The September 29 announcement added another collectable to the hunt, bringing the demo's total to 10 coins. The developer called this one deliberately hard to find and offered no hint. Players subsequently reported the candle-flame route listed below.
Quick-delivery coin: dialogue and test
Knock on the delivery door and choose the conversation path. In the recorded demo, the guard first refuses, then talks about an old coin from his father and hands it over. Pick up the offered coin and add it to the collection. Choosing the dialogue alone is not the final step.
Prepare a finished order, look at the delivery door and press F. Check the order result instead of repeatedly talking to the guard. If the shortcut does nothing, check whether the special coin is still lying where it was handed over and whether you added it to the collection. The footage does not establish a fixed number of orders required to trigger the story.
Carry-capacity coin: what to check
The octopus coin is added after a stamping sequence in the same demo recording, and the player then carries 15 coins instead of 10. That demonstrates the effect but does not prove that stamping any particular numbered order always spawns it. Its exact trigger is not established here.
After collecting it, test with an ordinary stack rather than a special coin. A 23-coin delivery, for example, can be split into 15 and 8 if the order accepts your finished coins. Keep the collectible separate from the order pile: the first special coin does not count toward the required delivery quantity.
Piggy-bank coin: unlock before expecting duplicates
Buy the piggy bank when available, put ordinary coins into it, then break it. Pick up the special coin that appears and read the collection message. It describes a chance to duplicate each stored coin when a piggy is broken; it does not promise that every coin doubles. Keep enough spendable money for tools and order materials before putting the rest into a bank.
Ten-coin acquisition checklist
The four demonstrated entries above combine with six additional routes reported in the Steam completionist discussion. The list below covers all ten acquisition leads, with the reported effect where it is known. The additional routes and their counters follow player reports from the demo.
| Coin or interaction | What to do | Ability or result |
|---|---|---|
| Wooden +/- coin | Continue the early stamping sequence and collect the special coin | Enables further collectible discoveries |
| Guard's old coin | Follow the guard conversation when its goal appears; pick up his coin | Quick delivery at the door with F |
| Octopus-shaped coin | Continue ordinary crafting and collect it when it appears; the exact trigger remains unclear | Carry 15 coins instead of 10 |
| Piggy-bank coin | Put ordinary coins into a piggy bank, then break it and collect the Bitcoin-like coin | A chance to duplicate stored coins when a bank breaks |
| Ash-cleaning coin | Sweep the ash piles left by the furnace; look for the special coin after cleanup | Broom summoning |
| Square target coin | Throw the axe at the target and hit its bullseye | Axe summoning |
| Triangle dummy coin | Remove the dummy's bucket head, set it on the floor and drop an ordinary coin inside | Faster walking and sprinting |
| Lion-head chest coin | Fill one coin chest completely with finished coins | One additional maximum purchase of each good, reported by players |
| Re-stamped piggy coin | Take the Bitcoin-like collectible from the piggy bank and stamp it repeatedly | An additional event token |
| Candle-flame coin | Hold an ordinary coin over a candle flame using right-click placement | Tongs summoning; the coin has a bite-shaped edge |
Ash, dummy and target routes
For the broom route, clean furnace ash, rather than assuming that simply summoning a broom completes the condition. A player who started a new save reports 25 ash piles after the first collection unlock. Treat that as a reported counter: look for the pickup and its message rather than adding ash that was swept before the unlock to your total.
The dummy route uses the detached bucket head on the floor. Put a coin inside it; hitting the dummy or balancing its head back on the body is not the reported solution. Multiple players report success, including one using a silver coin. No exact number of coins is established as a universal requirement.
For the square coin, use the axe on the target's bullseye, then collect the reward. A hit elsewhere is not the condition players describe. The collectible grants axe summoning; its appearance is distinct from the triangle speed coin.
Chest: fill it, do not stop at a guessed count
Players initially reported 480 coins, but later replies describe chests that still had empty space after that amount. Fill the chest to its actual capacity and check for the collectible. A later successful report used a mix of finished copper and silver coins, so the claim that it must contain only one metal is contradicted. Newer chests reject unstamped coins.
Re-stamping and the tenth candle coin
Keep the piggy-bank collectible available for the stamp interaction. Several players obtained an event token by stamping that special Bitcoin-like coin; a new-save report specifies four stamps. This is separate from filling or breaking another ordinary piggy bank. The reports do not establish a numeric ability multiplier for the token.
For the tenth coin, use right-click placement to hold an ordinary coin over a candle flame. One successful report used a silver coin and held it there for roughly five seconds. That is an observed duration, not a fixed official timer. Check for the bite-shaped collectible and its summon tongs message before trying a different room interaction.
Random chance and demo saves
The developer's reply in this thread says that the nine coins available at the time had no RNG acquisition. That corrects an early guess that sweeping was a random drop. It does not remove the piggy ability's chance-based duplication effect. The September 29 announcement subsequently raised the total to ten.
Demo progress will not transfer to the full game. Finish this collection for its demo abilities and event, without assuming the save will carry over.
