The 50,000,000-Coin Community Event

Quick answer

During the demo's community event, endless mode stays unlocked: orders never stop, every coin you craft counts toward a shared community goal — raised from one million to five million coins, with a 50-million stretch goal set on September 29 — and that same announcement extended the event by another week past September 30.

The Coin Maker Simulator demo isn't a static sample — it shipped with a live community event, and it's the reason endless mode is on.

How the event works

  • Endless mode is unlocked for the duration. Normally orders are a bounded routine; during the event you can keep taking orders and minting coins indefinitely.
  • Every coin counts toward a shared goal. Each coin crafted by any player moves the community's counter toward a shared target — it opened at 1,000,000 coins and was raised to 5,000,000 after the demo's first day (see the update below).
  • It was extended by another week. Originally set to close with September, the event got a one-week extension in the September 29 announcement — endless mode now stays open into early October. The studio announced it as another week and hasn't given a date since — as of October 1, 2026, no post has narrowed the window.
The developers trigger it at the end of the demo: "Community event: 1 million coins. During the event, endless mode is unlocked… every coin you make counts towards our community goal of 1 million coins. The event runs until the end of September." — Steam announcements, September 22 and 23, 2026; the September 29 post below replaced that deadline.

Update: the goal was raised to 5,000,000 coins

The one-million target didn't survive the demo's first day. The community cleared it 9 hours after the demo went live, then passed 2,000,000 seven hours later — so on September 23, 2026 the developer expanded the goal to 5,000,000 coins.

What that changes for your runs:

  • The counter keeps counting. Every coin from every player still feeds the same shared total; the five-million mark is the same race with a longer finish line.
  • The deadline later moved. The September 29 announcement extended the September close — see the next section.
  • A reward is promised, but it isn't in the current build. The goal moved faster than the studio could prepare a prize for it, and the developer says the in-game reward "will be available in the next patch." Until that patch lands, nothing new is hidden in the demo for hitting the number — treat this as demo content announced for a future update, not something you can unlock today.
"I was SOOOO not ready, that I didn't even have time to add a Reward into the game. I'm expanding the goal to 5,000,000 as community requested. … It will be available in the next patch!" — Alex, Steam announcement, September 23, 2026

Update: extended a week, a 50M stretch goal, and a tenth collectable

The September 29 developer post, "We Listen: Endless Mode & Feedback," made two moves and answered the demo's most-asked questions:

  • Endless mode was extended by another week, keeping the event open into early October. The developer set a new stretch goal of 50,000,000 coins "as you requested" — the community sat at 14,112,539 coins when the post went up.
  • A tenth collectable coin was added to the demo. The developer says it's deliberately hard to find and — unlike the earlier coins — no hints will be given this time. The collectible coins page tracks the hunt.

The same post answered the questions flooding the Discord:

  • Can you use up empty templates for more coins? "Yes! Absolutely!" — a template-consuming mechanic was cut late in development for feeling unsatisfying; a better version is planned for the full game and may appear at February's Next Fest.
  • Why are there so many empty templates in endless mode? Endless mode was a last-minute decision and isn't balanced around its template stack; in the full game you keep spending templates to make new coins.
  • Can all metal bars go into the furnace at once? Not in the demo — it would solve a problem that only exists because unlimited endless-mode play outstrips the demo's content. New workstations and skills come with the full game.
  • Can items be deleted? "No promises, but we are working on something."
  • Will demo saves carry into the full game? No — the game keeps changing, and the studio won't constrain itself to keep every old save readable.
  • Will endless mode be in the full game? "Of course!"

Your personal stats

Alongside the community counter, the demo keeps a stats screen for your own run:

StatWhat it tracks
Coins stampedLifetime stamps — the raw mint count
Total orders completeDeliveries handed in
Most coins in one deliveryYour single biggest hand-in

It's the demo's substitute for achievements (which the full game's store page confirms are coming) — and the honest way to compare two runs.

Why it matters beyond the counter

  • Endless mode is the deep-play sandbox. Long uninterrupted runs are where furnace throughput and the two-board trick actually pay off.
  • It's demo feedback the devs are watching. The studio behind the game is two people who open the demo with a direct thank-you for playing — community numbers are the loudest signal they get.
  • The window is open longer than planned. Endless mode was due to close with September; the September 29 extension keeps unlimited-orders runs going into early October.
